The week that I was in Minneapolis for a convention, I remember picking up the newspaper and reading an article regarding Google's announcement of Gmail. Later that day, I ran to one of the computer stations to try and sign up for an account with Gmail. To my dismay, they were currently offering accounts to beta-testers only, darn! Thankfully, Mr. Stone had a few extra Gmail invites left.
